Help us protect the countryside
Becoming a letter writer is an excellent way to get your voice heard and really makes a difference in our campaigns to protect the countryside we all love.

We ask letter writers to write in support of our key campaigns up to four times a year. We’ll send you a thorough briefing on the issue and tips on how to make your points most effectively.

Being a letter writer is a great opportunity to add your weight to a collective voice and tell decision-makers what you want to see. All letter-writing activity is backed up by CPRE staff meeting Government Ministers, civil servants and other policy-makers to reinforce the message.

Letter writers have recently:

• pressed the Government to ensure regional plans give environmental issues proper consideration. The Government responded positively and has opened the door for further dialogue with CPRE; and
• made their voices heard as regional funding plans for transport projects were being decided across the country. Hundreds of our supporters promoted sustainable traffic-cutting solutions they would like to see in their home regions.
