Case studies

Our report, The Proximity Principle: why we are living too far apart, is based on research and interviews with housing and sustainability practitioners, including architects, government officials, planners, housebuilders, housing organisations and environmental groups.

It looked at four small communities in established and new developments with varying housing densities: low, medium and high. In each of these communities interviews were carried out across a mixture of life stages, income, social background and housing types.
